I said this just the other day that unlike other people who get hurt and close themselves off, it’s just not something I’ve ever been able to do, I just take the pain from friends, family and lovers every time and repeat the process with no armour to protect myself again and again.
I wouldn't change that for the world, to become unfeeling would mean that I wouldn't get hurt but I would also never feel like I was flying on top of the world, either.

I'm an aspiring writer (who loves your books; they're art, I swear!) and I've read from your FAQs that you do read comments and I'm just wondering... when you started out as a writer, have you ever felt like somehow you're not cut out to do it or like your writing isn't good enough for anyone else to read? Cause I feel that way at the moment. I'm writing a story for a friend and I'm struggling so hard though I love writing and I'm starting to wonder if this is normal or if it's a... 'sign' that I'm not cut out to be a writer after all? I hope that if you see this, you'll make a post talking about this kind of problem (if you've ever experienced it cause I feel like I'm on my own in this)and if you have a way of dealing it.
Ps: can't wait for Tidal! My heart is broken after reading Lullaby but hopefully Tidal would mend it! :)
